Our Top Four Dry Shampoos

The summer heat hasn't left us yet. You might be #teamfall, but you could be dealing with humidity and sweat turning your ‘do into a don’t for at least a little bit longer.

Enter the dry shampoo. Just a quick mist on unwashed dry hair, a tousle and rid your hair of all that pesky oil, sweat, and grime that the tough temps have been bringing to your look. Things will settle down nicely between washes, and you’re primped and primed to go do whatever your day holds, wheather it’s rosé all day or a pumpkin spice latté.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Kevin.Murphy Fresh.Hair ($30, available at PVS)
Shake it up and spray away the oil and excess products from the day before. Tangerine peel helps lock down cuticle for natural shine. And something else that makes us smile - For every can sold, a contribution is made to help reduce global carbon emissions.

Rene Furterer Paris NATURIA Dry Shampoo ($36)
This lightly scented dry shampoo refreshes hair and boosts volume between shampoos thanks to oil-absorbing rice, cornstarch, clay and silica powders. For a cleansing boost it relies on peppermint, basil and caraway essential oils.

Bumble and bumble Pret-a-Powder Tres Invisible Dry Shampoo with French Pink Clay ($29)
For a oui bit of TLC, we love this two-in-one powerhouse that’s both a style extender, immediately absorbing oil and sweat with French clay, and a volumizer from roots to ends. It’s a far cry from their first iteration (a messy shake on color powder). Bonus: UV filters help protect your color.

Boston-based Living Proof is proof you can go a day or two without washing. They power their dry shampoo with a patented healthy hair molecule (OFPMA) and triple-action cleaning technology. There’s no powdery buildup behind and a time-release fragrance.
